Principal's Message
Dear students and families,
My name is Liza Ravare-Jacobs. I am blessed to have been named principal of Marksville High School as I am a proud alumni (class of 1991). I look forward to building an exemplary community school as a way to give back what was given to me.
I have a strong belief in the value of education and look forward to working with all stake-holders (faculty, students, parents, and the community) to create a climate in which students excel. In order for this to occur, everyone must be rowing in the same direction. With everyone on the same page, great things can be accomplished.
My faculty and I look forward to this new school year at Marksville High School, one in which we work in tandem to ensure that MHS students pursue academic excellence, character development through participation in extra curricular activities, and adopt a posture of giving back to their community.
I leave you with this proverb and believe it is the secret to our success: “Few Burdens Are Heavy When Everyone Lifts.”
Respectfully Yours,
Liza Jacobs
Principal
